Clinical Pilates
Pilates is a form of physical exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Clinical Pilates can be used in conjunction with our hands on physical therapies as a means of treating a variety of injuries, particularly those of the neck and back.
Clinical Pilates focuses on the retraining and recruitment of the spinal stabilizing muscles, as well as improving posture, strength and flexibility. For Pilates to be most beneficial it needs to be specific to the individual. At Connect Health + Movement your clinical Pilates exercise program will be specifically tailored to you. We take into account your current and previous injuries, your body type, and specific goals when tailoring your program.
As you improve and your goals change, so too will your program to ensure continued progression, satisfaction and optimisation of your health.
Our classes are run by physiotherapists, osteopaths, and exercise physiologists. Pilates classes run by physiotherapists may be claimable through your private health insurance.
